Windows Phone Store hits 200,000+ apps

2013 has been a great year for Windows Phone. Be it a series of new Lumia’s or the addition of apps like Instagram, Vine and Subway Surfer or the Nokia Lumia 520’s 26.5% market share globally. The year 2013 was all about Windows Phone and with it’s end we are being told that the windows phone app store has hit 200,000+ apps.

And Microsoft is being seen rejoicing the moment, the official blog post reads:

“The current holiday shopping season and all the great promotions are just underway, and we’re already seeing momentum build with the Store surpassing 12 million transactions per day and Windows Phone Store surpassing 200,000 apps. The best news is that we’re just getting started. In the new calendar year we’ll introduce creative new approaches to help you reach users in your app developing,”

HTC One Mini: The newest addition to the HTC family!

As the name says, HTC One Mini is a mini version of its elder sibling HTC One which is amongst the most popular smartphone of the year. Who on earth would not love to own a smartphone with royal look, appealing features and not forgetting the affordable cost. The handset is fairly aimed for the ones who can’t afford the high priced handsets like the HTC One. HTC One Mini is similar to HTC One with the almost equivalent features and the same aluminum body with plastic edging.

Talking of the size and build HTC One Mini with an elongated shape measures 132 x63.2 x 9.25mm is obviously smaller than HTC One. The Mini One has a mini screen of 4.3 inches with Super LCD 2 capacitive touchscreen and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The 4 megapixel camera with ultra-pixels and LED flash has the same sensors as HTC One. The Mini One has the Zoe software which takes plentiful images along with the video.

The handset is mechanized with a dual core 1.4 GHz processor. Talking of the storage, the Mini One has 16GB of storage and 1,800mAh battery, which can offer a constant talk time of 20 hours. The operating system being Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is the latest version of Google’s Android along with HTC Sense 5.

Though the ultra-pixel camera making it difficult for handling the bright light, the front cam of just 1.6MP which was 2.1MP in HTC One and the plastic edging is not that appealing and acceptable but apart from that the HTC Mini One offers excellent display and the feel of the original HTC One version with hardly any difference in the performance. It is never easy to build a less expensive version of a handset without making any compromises. The Mini One will be launched in U.K. in August either in black or silver body.
